Sun Tracking Solar Panel

Sun Tracking Solar Panel

As the nonsustainable power source assets are diminishing, utilization of inexhaustible assets for delivering power is expanding. Solar panels are winding up the more popular day by day. The solar panel retains the vitality from the Sun and is put away in the battery. This vitality can be used when required. Use of the vitality stored in the batteries is given in the below application. Solar panels must absorb solar energy to a maximum amount. This should be possible just if the panels are constantly put towards Sun bearing. So solar panel ought to persistently turn toward the Sun. This article depicts sun tracking solar panel and its working.

Solar Water Pump Control Project Kit

Solar Water Pump Control Project Kit

Solar energy is changed into a current by using PV (photovoltaic) cells. Throughout the daytime, the energy keep within the batteries is used to run the pump for agriculture. This project aims at developing a controlled charging mechanism providing protections for overcharge condition, deep discharge condition and below voltage state of the battery. This planned system is comprised of a solar water pump that reduces the utilization of inverters etc, so reducing the price of the project. Using the charge-controlled mechanism; the pump is operated at four totally different time slots. Difficulties like shifting the pump ON/OFF manually are overcome using this project.

There exists an intrinsic real clock (RTC) that keeps chasing the time and so switches ON/OFF the pump consequently. MOSFET’s are utilized by the charge controller as power semiconductor switches to confirm cutting off the load (DC Pump) in conditions like low battery or overload, while, the junction transistor is employed to bypass the solar power to a dummy load whereas the battery gets absolutely charged. So the battery is shielded from obtaining overcharged.

Solar Powered LED Street Light with Auto Intensity Control

Solar Powered LED Street Light with Auto Intensity Control

The solar-powered LED street light works on the principle of solar cells or PV cells to absorb the solar energy in the daytime. The PV cells convert solar energy into the electrical energy. The converted energy is stored in the battery and the solar street lights use solar energy. Nowadays solar street lights are available beside the roads. At the night time, the lamps start automatically and it uses the electrical energy which is stored in the battery. Every day this process continues.

Solar Wind Hybrid Lighting System

Solar Wind Hybrid Lighting System

Every device we use in our day-to-day life such as mobile phone, computer, induction cookers, washing machines, vacuum cleaners, etc., requires electric power supply. Thus, the advancement in technology is increasing the electrical and electronic appliances usage – which, in turn – is increasing the power demand. Thus, to meet the load demand, different techniques are used for electric power generation. In the recent times, to avoid pollution and to conserve non-renewable energy resources like coal, petroleum, etc., renewable energy sources like solar, wind, etc., are being preferred for power generation. The combination of renewable energy sources can also be used for generating power called as hybrid power system. As a special case, we will discuss about the working of solar-wind hybrid system in this article. [Read more…]

Rapid Transit Systems – The Future of Transport

October 9, 2014 by edgefx

arc-personal-rapid-transport-system-urban-vehicle-01When you think about some of the most pressing issues the world is facing, global warming and pollution definitely come to mind. With the ever increasing number of cars, trucks, motorbikes and whatnot that still run on fossil fuels, our environment isn’t getting healthier, specially in some of the larger cities. In fact, a few cities have gotten so polluted by exhaust fumes and the like that stars in the night sky aren’t visible properly. Speaking of which, Beijing is considered one of the most polluted cities in the world. It is often covered in dense smog caused by industrial and automobile exhaust smoke, to the extent that citizens are asked to wear face masks. If that’s doesn’t sound bad enough, there are large television screens around the city that show a virtual sunrise at appropriate times because the natural sunrise isn’t visible through the smog!
