PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The main intention of this project is to display  latest information in a scrolling format on a notice boards using a computer terminal.

The information for display message is transmitted using PC, which is interfaced to a 8051 family microcontroller through a MAX232 interface IC.An external memory connected to themicrocontroller stores theinformation. An LCD is connected to themicrocontroller to display the message in a continuous scrolling manner.

EEPROM is interfaced to the microcontrollerfor storing even ifthe power supply is turned off or fails. But, this can be changed by erasing thestored message usinga data reset switch.

NOTE:

The project works only on operating systems having hyper terminal (E.g. Windows XP). The computer must have a RS232 serial port.

When I was searching for the project I directly found your website on the internet.I already had done one project on my own, so I purchased DIY kit. I like the audio visuals and it is good.Kit was delivered on time with the right components.I directly purchased online. Please provide related assemby procedure for that particular project in DVD, so it is very easy to build the project by own. I already gave two of my friend’s references.
