PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This ultrasonic level controller comprises of an ultrasonic module which detects precise range by reflection coming ahead of it. This module is interfaced with the serial port of microcontroller.

Whenever level distance measured by cm falls below a set point the pump starts since by sensing the ultrasonic module signal coming out from the Tx sensor being reflected from the level and is received by the ultrasonic Rx sensor the output of which is fed to microcontroller.

When the microcontroller receives the signal from ultrasonic receiver it activates the relay through a MOSFET that operated the pump on or off.

The power supply consists of an electronic transformer (230V, 50Hz/12V, 25KHz) which steps down the voltage to 12V AC. This is converted to DC using a Bridge rectifier.

The ripples are removed using a capacitive filter and it is then regulated to +5V using a voltage regulator 7805 which is required for the operation of the microcontroller and other components.

Q:  Which microcontroller is used in this project?
A:  A 40 pin microcontroller from 8051 family is used in this project.
Q:  What is ultrasonic transducer and how does it work?
A:  An ultrasonic transducer is a device which converts sound signal to electrical signal. It works by transmitting a 40 KHz sound wave and receiving the echo or reflected signal from any object.
Q:  Till how much distance does the ultrasonic sensor senses?
A:  It senses distance till 250cm
Q:  How liquid level is measured?
A:  Liquid level is measured using ultrasonic detection technique by sensing the reflected ultrasonic signal.

I had a question whether the kit will work properly or not.If some problem is there then who will solve it or will any body respond to it.Iwas having the feeling that you are having a wider range and may be i will get after sales service also.Good material nicely packed.some problems i faced but i always got the proper response whenever i contacted to Edgefx.
