The project is designed to develop a robotic vehicle that is controlled by a cell phone. DTMF commands from a phone are sent to another cell phone which is mounted on the robot. These commands are fed to a microcontroller of 8051 family to operate the vehicle movement through motor interface.

The main scope of project is to send commands from one cell phone to be received by another cell phone mounted on the robot to receive the DTMF (Dual Tone Multi Frequency) mode commands which are then decoded by a DTMF decoder.

The corresponding codes are then fed to a microcontroller, programmed to recognize those codes to operate 2nos DC motors through motor driver IC for any direction movement as per the sent commands from sender’s mobile. The motors are controlled using motor driver IC which is interfaced to the microcontroller. It uses microcontroller from 8051 family and a battery for power source.

Further the project can be enhanced by interfacing it with additional motors for multipurpose activity. For example, it can be developed into pick n place robot or fire fighting robot with water pump etc.

A:  A 40 pin microcontroller from 8051 family is used in this project.
Q:  Can this project be implemented using the landline phone?
A:  No, this project has been designed to be implemented with only a mobile phone.
Q:  What is DTMF?
A:  DTMF or Dual tone multi frequency is a signaling system which uses a combination of two frequency tones to represent a key pressed on the keyboard of any cell phone.
Q:  What are keypad tones?
A:  Keypad tones are the audible sound heard, when a key is pressed on the mobile phone.

I purchased the project from Edgefx because it was been recommended by our Deputy HOD. I like the softcopy very much because complete information is involve in this.Better to pack the components by checking twice.

Question were about how start the project and how to use the components and equipment that were accessory in this project.Doubts have been cleared thanks to Edgefx dealer JauhariInfotech-Allahabadand hesitations are less as compared to the confidence build up so far. You provide the quality kit the reliability of the components and more over a guidance which was most for us. The kit covered every part of equipment and some were in spare I like the things such as millimeter , soldering iron , etc . You are on the way of consistence improvement
