PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The main concept of this project is to design a circuit, which is used to detect the active cell phones from a distance in the restricted areas while anyone tries to make a call or message and to give an alert to the authorities by a buzzer.

This system will detect any active cell phone, i.e., whenever someone   tries to make a call or receive a call, send a message or receive a message in a restricted area. In the above mentioned conditions, a buzzer will sound in the presence of an active cell phone in the radius of one and half meters.   

In this project, an RF detector by using tuned LC circuits is formed for detecting the signals in the GHz frequency band, which is normally used in the mobile phones as the transmission frequency of the mobile phone ranges from 0.9 to 3 GHz. A capacitor is used to form the part of the LC circuit as C, while the lead of the same forms an L to receive the RF signals from the mobile phone. When the mobile phone is activated, the RF transmission signal is detected by the detector and starts sounding a beep alarm and the LED blinks.

Q:  How can I increase the range of sensing the mobile phone?
A:  One cannot increase the sensing range with this project, but using expensive technology it is possible.
Q:  Can this project sense any mobile within the area of a room?
A:  No, the sensing distance is limited to a range of 2 feet only.
Q:  Will it jam the mobile phone signals?
A:  No,it will only give beep sound on detection
Q:  If I want to jam the signal what necessary thing should be added?
A:  Jammers are totally different concept and are commercially available
